This is a post from Cheerwine. Tranfered post here as Cheerwine is no longer with us. Please give thanks to her as she sometimes comes on forums.

Feral -

For this spec druids have both Cat form and Bear form. Bear form is used for tanking
while cat is used for DPS, though it is not recommended if you wish to be a pure DPS class.
(See Balance) Bear form is essentially built like a warrior, increasing dodge and armor
immediately. Feral gives a buff called Leader of the Pack which increases Melee critical strike making them invaluable to the raid.

What happens when a druid switches to bear form?

- You will gain abilities only available in bear form
such as Maul, Swipe and Growl.

- Your mana bar will be replaced by a rage bar.

- Your stamina will increase by 25%.

- You will gain 370% more armor.

- Your abilities will cause extra threat.

Important stats:

- Stamina: As a tank increasing your health is VERY important.

- Dodge: Because you cannot parry or block, you rely on your dodge to mitigate and avoid damage.
Your large HP pool will make healing you easier. Straight Dodge raiting or agility can be used to up your dodge.
This is the manner in which you generate rage.

- Defense: Is less important for druids because you're practically uncrushable as is.

- Agility: Agility increases the druid's ability to dodge as well as the chance to critically hit.

What about Specing?

There are many talent builds for this. If you have questions feel free to ask, but when specing your tanking druid
ask yourself if the talent is good for your rage generation,
such as Furor in the Restoration Tree. Does it increase my armor? Like
Thick Hide.

Most of your points should be in Feral, but I recommend using 11 points in Restoration.
- Improved Mark of the Wild and Furor then the last in Omen of Clarity, for an extra oh shit button.

Weapon Enchants: +35 Agility or Mongoose

Self Buffs: Mark of the Wild & Thorns to help generate threat should always be up. You should also put Thorns on other tanks, but never on DPS or Healers. (They generate enough threat on their own!)
Now that you know how to gear the toon, how do you play it?

Pulling:
Druids do not HAVE to pull in bear form, using caster spells then switching is great for establishing threat. It is also a
wise idea throw some HoTs on yourself to generate more agro on single/or multiple targets.

Demoralizing Roar is also a good idea to pull mobs *!BUT!* it is an AoE (area of effect) pull and will agro multiple mobs if you are not careful.

If a group has casters and LoS (Line of Sight - which doesnt work on WoC) is not an option - Feral Charge is decent. HOWEVER you must immidiatly begin swiping to build aggro.

It is also recommended that you press Maul before pulling a mob so that you can begin using your swipe and mangle to generate threat immidiatly. This will reduce the
amount of time the DPS must wait because it generates threat quickly.

How do I keep aggro?
You should use Maul, Lacerate and mangle to maintain threat. Swipe should be used only when mangle is on Cool Down (CD)

With multiple mobs Swipe is your best option.

So to sum it up:

Mangle.
Maul. Often.
Lacerate needs to be kept up.
Swipe if you have multiple mobs or extra rage.

What happens when aggro is pulled off of me?
You have a single target Taunt and and AoE Taunt. The use of Mangle and Maul together also generate enough threat to pull a target back.

What happens when I get knocked back?
Feral charge! Go go go!

OH SHIT! Buttons:
Frenzied Regeneration - on a 3 minute CD, consumes a great deal of rage but can save your life.

Bark Skin - on a 1 minute CD, reduces damage taken by 20% for 12 seconds.

Potions - Always carry health pots. =) Just in case!

If you can think of anything I left off, please don't hesitate!
