Ok so I hear things aren't going as well as I hoped it had. I was approached from Sicarii and Nelay on msn about afew standing issues players need to be aware of. Athena is a reform of the old Minerva guild, together we did amazing things defeating bosses with the less then the required players and the best part about what we did was we had NO assistance from any donators. I relise we had Harvest sometimes but he wasn't on half the time we accomplished some of our goals. I remember us downing God with only 16 players and we had only 3 deaths on the pull only. We can be well organised players if you listen to the raid leader who should be a fair standing rank in the guild. I have taught some select players leadership skills to make guild raids more exciting and enjoyable. Loot didn't concern us back then because we he a set loot system that 'never' changed. We had a recruitment system that was standing to inform players on what type of person this individual was and what they thought they could offer our raids.
I had a goal on world of chris to defeat both Eredar Twins at the same time. I know we had 3 attempts together but he lacked a good enough tank and we had difficulty with healers because I wasn't able to get on my warrior to heal so I was forced to stay on my Shaman (Malulani).
I'd love to come back to world of chris anyday but for now my life is tied with my school work and I'm unable to push it aside to play world of chris because I'm trying to finish this so I'm able to leave and start my career.
I'm sorry to those that I ruined things. I do relise now I was the reason most of our Core Raiders stayed and played the game but now I'm gone almost everyone we know is gone. I'm sorry really, I didn't want to leave but I had absolutely no choice. I've even had no time to catch up with friends as you may notice this is the first time I've been on the forums in along time.
If you're looking for words of advice there's only afew things I'm able to point out.
1) Join guild raids even if you're in a good pug. Every player adds a certain amount of DPS(Damage per second) to the raid and when you loot at recount's RDPSM(Raid damage per second meter) you will see everything come together. At times we had 52k raid DPS which is absolutely amazing considering most guilds put out 30-40K.
2) Athena is a PvE(Player vs environment) based guild so PvE is always expected to come first. I know it can become boring at times when the guild does constant runs of the same boring as raid instance but welcome to world of chris. Expect poorly scripted and unsupported scripts.
3) Take every guild raid seriously. If it is a well organised raid it is a fun sucessful raid so put everything you've got and flask/food buff your character up and do everything you've got.
4) Take verbal critism as a way indicating how to improve yourself. I sometimes get critism on retail world of warcraft when I used to play and I'd always ask the raid leader "Ok sir how do you think I could improve myself". I have a very good understanding of my character but you can't know everything so always be open to outside opinions.
That's all from me and I hope this can help get things rolling again.
